The Communist Party of India (CPI) is one of India's oldest communist political parties, established in 1925. It advocates for the interests of workers, farmers, and other economically disadvantaged sections and participates in parliamentary and state-level politics. The party has historically supported labour rights, land reforms, public ownership in key sectors, secularism, and policies intended to reduce economic inequality.
