Arambagh Lok Sabha Election Result 1998

Arambagh Lok Sabha Constituency General Election 1998 Results: Anil Basu of CPM won with 5,21,507 votes, defeating Chunilal Chakraborty of BJP, who received 3,34,207 votes. Anil Basu won by a margin of 1,87,300 votes, equivalent to 20.17% of the total votes polled. Total votes polled were 9,28,819.
