Khandwa Lok Sabha Constituency General Election 1996 Results: Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan (Nandu Bhaiya) of BJP won with 2,89,099 votes, defeating Shiv Kumar Singh Naval Singh of INC, who received 1,94,749 votes. Nand Kumar Singh Chouhan (Nandu Bhaiya) won by a margin of 94,350 votes, equivalent to 16.48% of the total votes polled. Total votes polled were 5,72,606.
