Khandwa Lok Sabha Constituency General Election 1980 Results: Shivkumarsingh Nawal Singh of INC(I) won with 1,99,161 votes, defeating Khushabhau Thakre of JNP, who received 1,61,805 votes. Shivkumarsingh Nawal Singh won by a margin of 37,356 votes, equivalent to 9.91% of the total votes polled. Total votes polled were 3,77,028.
