Tenkasi (Sc) Lok Sabha Constituency General Election 1980 Results: Arunachalam M. of INC(I) won with 2,72,260 votes, defeating Rajagopalan S. of JNP, who received 1,63,944 votes. Arunachalam M. won by a margin of 1,08,316 votes, equivalent to 24.83% of the total votes polled. Total votes polled were 4,36,204.
