Bhubaneswar Lok Sabha Constituency General Election 1980 Results: Chintamani Panigrahi of INC(I) won with 1,87,144 votes, defeating Shivaji Pattanaik of CPM, who received 54,527 votes. Chintamani Panigrahi won by a margin of 1,32,617 votes, equivalent to 44.31% of the total votes polled. Total votes polled were 2,99,266.
