Panskura Lok Sabha Election Result 1998

Panskura Lok Sabha Constituency General Election 1998 Results: Geeta Mukherjee of CPI won with 4,50,092 votes, defeating Dr Saumen Mahapatra of WBTC, who received 2,70,549 votes. Geeta Mukherjee won by a margin of 1,79,543 votes, equivalent to 21.89% of the total votes polled. Total votes polled were 8,20,080.
