Perambalur (Sc) Lok Sabha Constituency General Election 1991 Results: Asokraj A. of ADK won with 3,75,430 votes, defeating Ramaswamy S.V. of DMK, who received 1,80,480 votes. Asokraj A. won by a margin of 1,94,950 votes, equivalent to 30.59% of the total votes polled. Total votes polled were 6,37,204.
