Tarn Taran Lok Sabha Constituency General Election 1998 Results: Prem Singh Lalpura of SAD won with 3,55,653 votes, defeating Gurinder Partap Singh Kairon of INC, who received 2,13,735 votes. Prem Singh Lalpura won by a margin of 1,41,918 votes, equivalent to 24.02% of the total votes polled. Total votes polled were 5,90,752.
