SSC CAPF (SI), DP (SI) and CISF (ASI) Exam Pattern and Syllabus

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) conducts an all India entrance exam to fill various vacancies of Sub Inspector (SI) in CAPF & Delhi Police and Assistant Sub Inspector (ASI) in CISF under SSC CPO SI Examination.


The examination is a three-stage process with 2 two objective papers.

Stage I: Objective Paper - I

This paper has four sections as mentioned below and the duration of the examination is 2 hours.

There will be negative marks of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer.

Step II: Physical Endurance / Medical Test

Those candidates, who have scored above the cut off marks fixed by the Commission in Paper I would be required to appear in the Physical Endurance Test/Medical examination.


Stage III: Objective Paper – II

Only those candidates, who qualify the PET/ PMT will be allowed to give this Paper.

This paper has only one section and that is English Language & Comprehension consisting of 200 questions with a total weightage of 200 marks. The duration of this test is also 2 hours.


Final Selection will be based on the cut off marks for Paper I and II combined as decided by the commission.



1. Educational Qualification: Candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree from any recognized university.

2. Age Limit: Minimum age is 20 years and maximum age is 25 years. Age relaxation provided to reserved categories as per the government rules.
